Brought to you by Clegames Inc., Red Desert is an idle game that will keep you entertained for hours on end.

The best thing about Red Desert? You don’t have to sit in front of the screen for hours to progress. Being an idle game, you can leave the game to run and carry on with your day-to-day business and check back in when you have a chance.

In this guide, we will help you get a headstart if you are a beginner, by giving you tips on gameplay and the basic mechanics of the game.

Red Desert Gameplay

The gameplay is super simple! You start off attacking monsters from the get-go. You do not have to press any buttons as attacking is fully automated, leaving you to sit back and relax.

There are a few things you will need to do in order to level up and progress, which we will dive into below:

Leveling up

As you pass stages in Red Desert, monsters become increasingly more difficult to beat. You will need to level up your stats as you progress. In-game currency is used to level up stats; namely Gold.

How do you level up these stats? Simply tap on the red arrow icon situated on the right-hand side of your screen. See the image below:

Here you will find various tabs. They are as follows:

  • Growth – Use this tab to level up your stats such as ATK (Attack), HP (Health), DEF (Defense), and more.
  • Level Up – Here you are able to level up your character, making you stronger in the process. You can also add attribute points to your stats each time you level up.
  • Upgrade – Certain titles will grant you additional stat bonuses. You can obtain these effects once you have cleared certain stages.
  • Relics – This can be obtained once you have cleared Stage 3-50.
  • Red Devil – This can be obtained once you clear Stage 5-25.

Each of the above features helps your character become stronger, which in turn will help you defeat hard-to-beat enemies.

Additionally, you can upgrade skills using materials obtained throughout gameplay. This boosts the effects of the skills, as well as increases the stats of the skill.

You can enhance companions to make their effects even more efficient. Do so by tapping on the icon located in the center of your screen at the bottom, then tap equip. You will be able to enhance your companion if you tap on the Enhance tab displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Pets

Pets are one of the many features in Red Desert that can be used to your advantage! Pets can be unlocked once you have cleared stage 4-25.

Summoning Items

As a bit of a guide, below you will find the method used to summon equipment in Red Desert:

  • A pop-up screen will be displayed, where you can choose which equipment you would like to summon, such as Weapon, Armor, etc.
  • You can choose to summon once, using 100 diamonds, or you can choose to speed up the process by summoning 10+ times using 1000+ diamonds.
  • Once you have tapped on summon the first time, an additional pop-up screen will show you the items you have obtained, as well as give you a third option of summoning 30+ times using 3000+ diamonds.

  • Summoning more than once is highly recommended, as you stand a chance to acquire higher rarity level gear more easily than if you just summon one piece of equipment at a time.

Ways to Earn Diamonds

There are various ways to earn diamonds in Red Desert. Below we will list a few of them:

  • Clearing stages
  • Completing milestones – these can be found on the top right-hand side of your screen.

  • Dungeons – You can obtain diamonds by clearing dungeons, along with other items and in-game currency that will help you progress in Red Desert.
  • Daily quests and achievements – This is another easy way to grab some diamonds! Simply leave your game to run, summon equipment, merge weapons, and more!
  • Passes – These passes are a great way to earn diamonds. You can choose if you want to be F2P (free to play) or if you would spend real money on the game. Spending money to purchase the pass will give you even better rewards, but it is not a necessity.

  • Watching Ads – You can watch an Ad to obtain free diamonds, however, this can only be done once a day until the timer resets.
  • Purchase using real money – This goes without saying much more, you can spend real money in the Shop, however, as there are so many additional methods to earn diamonds, it really is not necessary.
